I feel like anybody who complains about how racism was portrayed in Bioshock Infinite didn’t fully comprehend the intent. In the original universe Colombia was in, it showed that a seemingly utopian society will always have a dark, underlying monstrosity, such as racism. It also accurately portrayed racism in 1912. In that universe, Daisy and her revolution were truly trying to achieve something that “utopia” didn’t have; equality. However, in the alternate reality in which the revolutionaries were winning, it is shown that a previously noble quest can quickly turn into something grotesque when the original goal is forgotten. Daisy was no longer fighting for equality when she began murdering children because of their skin color. The role of racism in the plot is meant to represent the fact that conflict and serious social inequalities can be rectified though revolution, but revolutionaries can quickly turn into the things they hate most if the vision of equality is lost and vengeance takes its place.

Sure, but I’d like to see how much someone who actually knows how to live on a budget do this. I’m sure they can get a lot more out of a weeks worth of food stamps than a bunch of spoon fed Washington lackeys who don’t know the first thing about basing meals on beans and rice (both of which are practically dirt cheap, 10 lb. bag for $5 ect.)
